TALONS stands for Talented Academic Leaders Outstanding National Scholars. Invitations to TALONS Day are extended to Fall 2024 applicants who are scholarship eligible.
I was referring to the test scores for the invite to Very Impressive Tiger. But, yes Auburn can and does change the scholarship threshold from time to time. Since the invites for VIT go out before Auburn releases this yearâs scholarship info, I think it is safe to assume they will use last yearâs standards for Presidential scholarship to determine VIT.
Since decision for EA are released around mid-October I think they will probably have a pretty good handle on overall stats and competitiveness by the time those invites go out. You may be right, but I wouldnât assume it will be the same criteria as last year.
Only EA1 decisions are released in October. There are 3 more rounds of EA plus regular decision still to go Maybe they can accurately predict what the rest of the applicant pool is going to look like? Your guess is as good as mine. I really donât know. But you are right, I should have said that historically the VIT invites have gone out to students with a 33 to 36 ACT. I edited my post above to reflect that. I certainly donât want to be spreading any misinformation. Auburn has not yet posted what the cutoff for either the VIT program or the presidential scholarship will be for this admissions cycle.
We found a WED invite in spam yesterday. FYI, it was sent to the email address associated with my daughterâs SAT/College Board account, not what she has associated with her not-yet-submitted Common App. She sent her official test scores early last week in preparation for submitting app this week.
Can anyone give us an idea of how long it took to receive the Auburn portal set-up email after submitting via Common App? My daughter applied yesterday and hasnât received it yet. May be normal for Auburn. We just want to make sure since the other 3 schools arrived the morning after she applied. She wants to make sure they have all materials before Sunday. Thanks!
