Auburn University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

Deny I meant

I asked admissions. It’s just marketing.

Interesting, who did you talk to in Admission?

Interesting. My S25 falls in admit for GPA but between admit and defer for test scores. I wonder if the trend in scores and grades is changing at all.

Curious how many recommendations people are sending. Auburn says 0 required, 2 optional. We sent 1. Do colleges care really? I know FL schools specifically say to not send any.

I thought EA they only look at GPA and test scores?

They only look at GPA, test scores and rigor for Early Action. They have a Comprehensive Review for Regular Decision applicants. You can view the details here. See ‘What We Look For’ section and ‘Comprehensive Review,

That’s what I thought. We read that before S25 applied. Thanks!

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows the date in mid Oct decisions will be released? I have heard the 15th and then heard it’s always the 2nd Friday in Oct.

Last couple of years it has been the second Friday in Oct I believe for EA1.

Anyone know if VIT invites have gone out yet? My son received War Eagle invite already & we signed up for November. I’m assuming if he gets VIT he should do that instead.

Not sure when then go out, but I would imagine fairly soon, considering that is Auburn’s attempt to “court” those really high stats kids. I would suggest VIT over WED. WED is a lot of fun, and Auburn definitely make kids feel “wanted”, but VIT is more personal and individualized. We did every event my daughter was invited to, but it’s definitely not necessary.

I read this as “comprehensive review” is the same thing as early action “digging deeper” into the whole student. We were told the earlier the better.

I thought the early War Eagle invite was more of a marketing thing and that everyone who applied received that email. Am I wrong? Since we already did a tour in the spring should we go again? We hadn’t planned on making another trip until we know if he’s been accepted.

The ‘comprehensive review’ is very specific and detailed for Regular Decision applicants. This info is pretty buried on website.

Based on that info, it’s almost like an advantage to apply through regular decision.
