In looking at the css code for the page number links, there is already a specific class for the page one is on, the color is just not different enough.
The class for the page-one-is-on (.Pager > a.Highlight) should be bold or red or something other than hex color #19355b which is way too close to the page-you-are-not-on class (**.Pager > a **)which is set to #3d3f4b - just a slightly different shade of blue.

But never before has viewership of this site been so low. I think that has a lot to do with why they are being more responsive this time. There has been a slight uptick in views since the death plunge after June 25, but nowhere near what CC had in its heyday.
Re the page numbers: on my laptop at least, I click on the double right arrow for next page. If nothing happens, it means I am on the last page. If a new page loads, then not.
In addition to the bookmarking function not working proper, the current page not being highlighted, no intra-thread search function (necessary for longer threads), the latest that isn’t working for me is the ability to look at a poster’d posting history. (I’m on mobile).
I can’t navigate from a user’s activity to their threads. When you click on a name then click the right arrow next to “activity” nothing happens. It’s been like this at least for a couple days.
How do I find threads in a specific topic? For example, I want to see what’s in the Athletic Recruits topic but the only way I know to navigate there is to go to my replies and search for one that was posted in that topic.
I can see the topic is located at Home / College Admissions and Search / Specialty College Admissions Topics / Athletic Recruits, but I can’t find how to get there other than what I outlined above.

You just described exactly how to navigate to it in your original question. What else are you looking for? Bookmarking maybe?
Or are you having trouble getting to “college admissions and search”? If you look at the path at the top of pretty much any page, you can click on it there. Or on the “home” page, but you do have to scroll down a bit to get to it.
On the right side of any page are “Highlights". Under that is listed:
College Search & Selection
College Admissions
Financial Aid & Scholarships
SAT and ACT Tests & Test Preparation
Colleges and Universities
Parents Forum
What Are My Chances?
Ivy League

I know that Athletic Recruits is a sub-topic of College Admissions, so I click there and find:
Common and Coalition Application
Gap Year
Admissions Hindsight and Lessons Learned
Non-Traditional Students
@eb23282 Your complaint/question is valid and warranted. The reality is with the redesign there is no good ways to navigate to many areas which certainly makes the end used experience less affective leading to diminished traffic. How can folks post if they can’t find a good chunk of content and how can there be content if they can’t find where to post. Seems like a catch-22.
The redesign got rid of more thorough and more intuitive forum menus. It’s near impossible to find a lot of stuff now. Athletic Recruits is under the College Admissions and Search area. On the front page of the Forums page http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/
on the left hand side there is a section “Discussion Topics”. If you click on “College Admissions and Search” under that, second section down is “Specialty College Admissions Topics”. There you will find Athletic Recruits.
IMO, the need a more extensive menu on that front page.
