Would like to see if we can make it happen. We are awaiting approval from a school in our state that I will not mention lol but if we can make it work at OSU, that’s her first choice

I know. We just visited our in state school yesterday. While they did like it a lot, they did not get the same excitement they have had for OSU. Every school would be cheaper so far than OSU due to scholarships. Always the way ! Lol

Do we know if those deferred in January are receiving decisions in mail or on portal? I’ve heard both so just curious.

Called AO today. FA packets will be in OSU email Portal Wed/ Thurs. Other then Scholarship Universe all awards will be listed on FA. Scholarship Universe may not have been awarded yet in some cases.
She did say some Morrill Scholarships may still be awarded but referred to the RD applicants for this, not the EA …Hope this is helpful.

Morrill is office fo diversity and inclusion. You can get their number on the Morrill scholarship page on osu.edu
So does that mean if you have not heard about merit awards already then you won’t be getting any ?

I have twins one got in EA and two weeks later merit came. Daughter accepted 2and wave EA. Similar stats , applied TO. wants to commit. Called today and asked. No letter was generated. Unless your merit was mailed last week and is coming today…tomorrow with FA coming out this week most likely no merit award( Maximus and trustees).

Finally talked to someone from financial aid and not undergraduate admissions! The last round of awards were sent on 3/2. So if you don’t get one soon in the mail, then either one was not awarded or a letter was not sent out for some reason and will be on the FA package. Grants will be on there as well. I think we have given up hope for merit at this point.

So are you saying that one applied with a test and one without ? They keep saying that does not matter, but I am not believing that now. Mine has high stats, Athlete, and extras but was TO. I am still guessing that’s it.

I don’t know it it’s been said already but all merit and honors have been awarded already. Sorry deferred students. Ohio State really screwed students this year. Shame on them.

Just called, no merit for me!
How did you find that out? They just said they can’t see anything on their end. They see what we see until financial aid updates. Why are we all getting different answers? I even said so probably no merit right ? She said not necessarily; you need to wait until you actually see the package. I assume mine did not get it, but still. This was the number through Buckeyelink
