Stop it. My son had his app in before Nov 1. This is crap.
Not sure what their process is!
If how OSU handled the admissions process, particularly for the EA kids who got deferred after the 2nd EA deadline, is an indication of how they run their school, then Iām not sure Iād send my son there anyway. No transparency. No communication. Chaos. My son has lots of other great choices!
My application status was changed from deferred to āevaluationā around 1pm today. Anyone else?
My daughterās status also changed to Evaluation today and she was deferred EA on 1/25.
Still says deferred
Same here
I hear you, girl! Mine applied 10/1! Weāve already put the hundred dollars down with zero money offered. This was our last bit of hope. And my daughter already knows people who got it long ago. When I called to ask, they just said you will get an acceptance or rejection as soon as we review your application. However, I have not heard of one person getting a rejection letter yet. Which says to me, they all come at one time. I mean she also heard from the scholars program like two months ago at this point.
Got the decision.
Denied. I got deferred on 01/25.
Finally got acceptance a couple of hours ago after January deferral.
Son accepted for finance, applied in october!. EA deferred, but there is very little time to visit and evaluate.
Denied - deferred from EA 1/25
OOS
4.03 GPA
Test optional
Exercise science major
Lots of ECās
My daughter was accepted into exercise science after January deferral! Man that was a long wait! Good luck to all of you!
Congratulations!!! Is she considering going?? My son is on his Disney trip, so I donāt want to bother him about his portal. But obviously I want to know after this inordinate amount of time waitingā¦
She IS considering, but itās hard to bring back that excitement she had two months ago. Iām going to try to convince her to do an admitted students weekend to get a real feel for it. We visited in the Fall, but just went to a football game (which was amazing). Good luck to your son. Let me know how it goes!
My daughter was just waitlisted. She was one of the ālateā deferrals in January. This wasnāt even listed as an option on the admissions page, so didnāt even know it was a possibility. It seems OSU is just making stuff up as they go along this year. She was prepared for a āyes or noā but not that. Fortunately, that made her realize she has better options and she committed elsewhere tonight. I wish you all the best of luck and hope that those of you that get in and commit have better luck regarding transparency and communication from OSU!
OOS
3.98 UW gpa
Lots of APs & activities
1290 SAT
Mine is also one of the mysterious ālateā deferrals, and also waitlisted. I wonder if anyone from that group (EA applicants that did not hear on the scheduled date, then were all simultaneously deferred several days later) was accepted.
We were in that group, and believe me, we had lost all confidence, but were accepted today. Iām sorry it didnāt work out for you. It was very stressful to say the least.
Good luck to everyone! My DD22 was accepted in December. Weāre in state and she was given no merit and no honors program at OSU. We put the deposit in at Miami where they gave her a nice merit scholarship plus honors college. Not sure whatās up with OSU this year but thereās no way weāre paying more for OSU over Miami.
My S22, IS, applied EA and deferred on 1/25. He was accepted today. Actuarial science major. 3.9 GPA, 31 ACT, 33 college credit plus hrs, NHS, lots of extra curricular activities.
