University of Tennessee Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

I am going to reboot my pc and try again in a few minutes. They might be updating their systems and i also have been switching between my 2 daughters logins so it might eb some kind of image caching or something. If I am the only one seeing it then it is seems weird.
I am hesitant to click that link
Let me reboot and post an update

No it did not

I don’t have this? But I got the confirmation email with a major
should i be worried?

i dont have it either–but you are in – congrats–what is your slate ID first #?

Nothing here, but you are in! What does your slate ID start with?

Mine just showed up a few minutes ago under resources tab.
Maybe it is a glitch if it has not shown up for others. I cannot have the only daughter who was admitted from deferred in this group. If that is the case i would decline.

No update in our Resources tab. But your daughter #2 getting in would legit make my Friday!

what was her major?

are you sure you are looking at the right daughter’s portal?

So that is the weird thing
Let me reboot log on and I will provide details

and above all that, the joy & experiences, I want my child to be able to present himself well, polished. Learn how to network and be so to best of his ability while in college. Look people in the eye, listen and speak well. And you can’t teach drive. Character is everything. I have hired many college grads over the years and it is not where you went, it’s what you did while you were there. And for the record, I think my laziest hire was a UPENN grad
 so you never know!

Yeah because the top thing on my admitted daughter said Decided and it has some blurb about an update posted. This one does not have it

Thanks for the entertainment. I am avoiding all hacks and letting the chips fall where they may. But this has been super fun to follow. Wishing you and everyone else luck! And yes, Susan Miller is the BEST!

couldnt agree more–ive seen many people outperform ivy grads and those with high SATs over and over and over again. What I see is you need hunger–willing to work hard–which is why i have always thought GPA was better predictor of workplace success than being good at standardized test taking.

Back
So my daughter in deferred in Common App accidentally listed her first major as University Exploratory and her second major as Communications. It was supposed to be the other way.
The email hack listed the first major and is still listing the first major which really is not a major but the student is undecided of what to major in.

Going to log in again and see if the system had a glitch or the Decline admission is still there. Hold for update

Also i just received this email for my admitted daughter

ok, they are rewarding you for doing the table on here!

expect that not all educators & school systems are created equal either. There is great variety out there. Who knows what the magic combination truly is?!?!

agree! I worked in corporate and had very pedigreed employees who were completely ineffective. It’s almost like at some point some people are too in the academic/theoretical world and what businesses need are people who know how to DO in the real world. That is not to say people from great schools can’t be both of those things (I certainly worked with some great people from great schools too), but some highly educated people are so focused on their degrees and case studies they can’t see the real-world applications. Someone willing to work hard and learn would be the person I’d want on my team every time.

We don’t have that yet but that’s a good sign ! Others who got in EA had that
maybe it’s coming for all ! Good luck !
