Did you get an email saying your portal updated or did you check your portal?

DS24 (OOS) received an email asking if he was still interested and replied yes. (Iā€™m not sure if he got a text, but I donā€™t think so.) The follow up email reads:

Weā€™re excited youā€™ve chosen to remain a candidate on the waitlist for Fall 2024 !

Check your email frequently for any updates regarding your waitlist status. We will notify selected students on the waitlist if space becomes available.

Wonder if itā€™s any different for your daughter?

Yeah it said my application status has been updated.

She did get a text with a link to reply.
Then received an email saying they were glad to hear she was still interested and to check her email for status updates.

I loved Purdue too. But after our visit to UTK, our DS was hooked in 100%. Heā€™ll be in Haslam, yours?

As someone from Tenn, we know a LOT of kids who go there and they love it! Even my husband loves Knoxville ā€” and he graduated from UGA. LOL.

It doesnā€™t mean anything.

The school is continually looking to validate that the kids that signed up on the WL want to remain on the WL. Not uncommon for the kid that got put on the WL in Feb or Mar to have other acceptances come in since then and has ā€œmoved onā€. When/if they start pulling from WL they want to offer to those that have a higher % chance of accepting that admittance.
