The 01 May decision date now 15 May for UC and CSU schools…others to follow?

I heard on the radio last week there was speculation that all universities will need to push the student commitment dates to June 1st. The talk show was just “speculating”, they mentioned this had to be done during the covid year too I guess because of the government not having workers to give the schools the financials on time.
It would be a disadvantage for anyone who decided to try to be accepted on a waitlist.

OOS / EA deferred / Haslam Supply Chain Mgt applicant:
No SRAR issues; updated 7th semester grades via SRAR and school provided copy also;
No Smokey Dog counselor seen earlier BUT the “Admitted Major” screen briefly appeared.
Signed up for an “admitted student” tour and DS24 got the reply stating admitted to first choice, Haslam SCM. Good luck all!
I’ve seen a bunch of extensions to May 15 and June 1. I suspect some schools may be waiting until when the feds send out the FAFSA data to make a determination on extending their acceptance deadlines. In any case, the more schools that extend to 5/15 or 6/1 the more pressure on other schools to follow suit.
For schools that don’t extend, I think families still trying to decide would be smart to call any of their accepted schools with a published May 1 deadline and ask for an extension if having extra time would be helpful to make a decision. The worst a school can do is say no.

Any more insight into the Admitted Students Tour hack? Do we think it’s a real tell about application status?
Has anyone who got applied to Nursing but got into 2nd choice major heard back about Nursing yet?
I was admitted for my second choice major, Pre-Med, in December (Applied EA, Guaranteed Admission In-State), and I was just accepted into my first choice major (nursing) today.

I contacted admissions to ask. I sent a screenshot with the admitted major, and the rep sent back a note saying that she looked at my student’s file and it still said “Defer”.

I imagine they can’t tell you your updated status before decisions come out. If they did, there’d be no point of decision day; everyone would just call and ask.

Guessing also that it would still say deferred until the “official” roll over date when decisions come out , whenever that is . Good luck to you!

Regarding the Admitted Tour hack previously referenced, my S24 deferred EA. Signed-up 2 days ago for Admitted Tour and kept date, as we plan tour if, in fact, accepted. Received 1st major,program notification from original Tour reg. Then, at 2:51am EST last night, my S24 received autogenerated email saying, “You’re Invited…Congratulations again on your admission to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville! Thank you for scheduling an admitted student tour with us on…” IT glitch still in-play, I guess? Gotta believe others recd this email if Admitted Tour wasn’t canceled.

Same scenario regarding keeping tour. We got the email at 2:51am as well.
Oh no. We did not receive that email. And we kept our tour because we plan to go too.
We received the same email @ 2:51am. It still states acceptance into 2nd choice major.
