Nope not me yet :((
i’m instate and haven’t gotten off the waitlist yet ): like other people mentioned, they’re probably working to get oos students off first. i’m planning on submitting my appeal sometime next week! good luck to everyone on the waitlist and congrats to those who got off!!
I am also instate and I haven’t got off the waitlist yet.
Do strong letters of rec help with an appeal to the UW for in-state students?
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about whether getting accepted off the waitlist affects whether you can get any the purple or gold scholarship or not? My daughter got accepted off the waitlist, but coming from CA we were really hoping she would get some scholarship money. She had a GPA of 4.3 and ACT score of 34 so I was hopeful. She just got her welcome letter today and nothing about any scholarship. Any info would help. Can we appeal? She really wants to go to UW, but we really can’t afford it! Thanks
Have her call the financial office. Lots of times the financial package is a different mailing but it won’t hurt to call and can help your family plan.
Has anyone submitted their appeal recently (within these past 2 weeks) and have heard back whether or not your appeal was approved or not? Thank you!
I got accepted off the waitlist a few days ago and am OOS. Didn’t appeal. I also didn’t get an official congratulation email, but I got an email about financial aid which made me curious about my status.
yooooo I just got in less than an hour ago off of an appeal!!! I was waitlisted and UW is my dream school so I took every chance possible and ACTUALLY GOT IN!!! I’m still in schock ahahahha
Are you in state?
Anyone have any ideas for when in state waitlist will come out?
@asciam Congratulations! When did you appeal and did they send you an email about your decision? Are you instate? Thank you!
historically around the middle of may, based off 2019
Hi guys! I’m on the waitlist (in state) but haven’t heard back yet. I had a 3.6 GPA (on a 4 point scale and lower due to mental illness that I discussed in my essay), 1340 SAT, and 34 ACT. I’m a running start student and I’m feeling pretty hopeful. If I don’t get off the waitlist, I’m gonna apply again to transfer for winter! Should I appeal or just stay on the waitlist or both? I’m not sure!
People usually start getting off of the waitlist some time within the first two weeks of May, but this year oos applicants started getting off of the waitlist on March 26th. Someone from the admissions office told someone on the waitlist (in state) to wait until the end of April to commit to a different school in case they started letting those in state off of the waitlist before the May 1st confirmation deadline.
I got accepted off the waitlist!!! I submitted an appeal about five days ago but I’m an international student so I was quite surprised that they accept me at this time
Do you think now would be too late to submit an appeal for out of state?
@rejectedddd – Per this link,
https://admit.washington.edu/apply/freshman/i-applied/special-admission-appeal/
you should still be able to appeal till April-15. Best of luck!
Does anyone know how long they get back to you with appeals?
@Mango8 After I submitted my appeal it took about 2 weeks to hear back
