OK…what am I missing. Sorin posted an update today, and mentioned a tablet ready interface. How about an APPLICATION (and yes, I’m yelling…no one seems to hear this) for the iPad that is actually an application?
You know, you had a decent iPad app until the “upgrade”. It has been a “priority” to get this up and running for 8 months. And FYI…what you have for the iPhone isn’t exactly wonderful.
There’s no recent posts tab. How are people supposed to view new posts?
Towards the upper left of the page, you will see “Latest Posts.” Click on that.
@CCtech_David…do we have an update on the plans for a CC app?
Would you say there was some sort of huge cache jam, from midday, yesterday? I never saw an 1130 am post of mine until this am. The thread seemed to stop dead at 1106 am, at least through the wee house of this morning. I thought maybe mine had been the last and gotten deleted. Just mentioning it, in case others see the same.
I finally discovered the Go to the Forum, would get me back to what it was before. Then I can select what area I want to read.
Someone reported a thread last night or thereabouts, not because of any wrongdoing, but because posts were failing to show up. In such cases, however, the posts may never come back. Glad to hear yours at least appeared, but if that is due to caching it is certainly above and beyond. To answer your question, though, I don’t know if there was a ‘cache jam’. These things just seem to happen randomly and for no apparent reason. Hope we can get some answers regarding this.
Any way to move the smiley face icon to use smiley face icons in posts? It can be difficult to see what you write if it hits the smiley.

I have not visited in a while looks like 19 pages of posts ago on this thread. I still seriously miss the old CC.
So is there a way to bookmark forums or subforums instead of just threads yet? Without that I can’t spend so much time clicking all over the place to see if there are new posts at certain schools. Still can’t understand why in an “improved” version, we can’t have back something we already had before.

Yes, true that. There is NO “report” or “flag” on posts when using one’s iPhone.
And it’s been asked for before. I’d rather have a “flag” button than a “like” or “helpful” button.
@thumper1 and @GA2012MOM…let me find out more about the lack of “flag” option on the phone interface. In lieu of reporting I suppose you could PM one of the moderators, though I realize that is not an optimum solution.
@Midhelper: unfortunately, there is not yet a way to bookmark forums or subforums, and we realize this was requested some time ago. I can also try to find out any details regarding timeline for such a update.
IMO, it’s pretty ironic that CC seems to be targeting young people (see “hawt”) and yet can’t get the mobile site to be fully functional.
Young people use phones. I almost always on my phone checking CC rather than on the computer. For me, the phone is WAY easier to read on than the website where the footer takes up half the page, but I can’t really type or report or anything from it.
Just a mess.
