UT does not require the SRAR. Baylor and TAMU do, did you mean to post in a different forum?
Probably play it safe and include only courses on the high school transcript. But they require you send the college transcripts anyway, so they should be able to see the rigor in the college courses.
Does the RIS page populate if you did On Ramps in High School?
does anyone know when OOS decisions for EA will come out?? I heard some batches come out mid-november and then others far longer. I’m dying to know the timeline.
That being said, does UT Austin tend to reject more the later the application comes in? I know University of Michigan at Ann Arbor tends to waitlist/reject people if you submit closer to the final deadline because they don’t have enough readers.
It is anyone’s guess. This is UT’s first year offering EA (it was simply priority 11/1 deadline before) so no one knows what to really expect other than the info on the website which states decisions for EA (all EA, no distinguishing between oos EA or other) will by out BY 1/15. That “BY” 1/15 kind of opens it up to their previous year practices of unannounced “waves” and “portal astrology” (reddit is full of “clues” that take place in the portal that may or may not indicate good/bad things). One recent reddit post did say the OP called UT Admissions and was told to expect a wave midDecember…but that was reddit so who knows how reliable that is. Fingers crossed for sooner rather than later!
I have no idea! In one of the links above it did come up, but now it is showing “bad data” I’m assuming by RIS page you mean the ones posted above that seem to be the “old” pages before the new my status page.
Do you know when the first admittances came out last year?
November 30th shows several admits in a wave - see post 211 or so from class of 2028. (I guess we are ahead of the game since this is post #209).
I tried to find the reddit thread just to speculate but I can’t find it anywhere. The ‘clues’ would occupy me. LOL. Oh well I guess I just need to work and wait with everyone else. LOL
Has anyone been able to find a common data set for UT that actually has the data completed? Every time I find it the sections that are relevant are blank.
Go to Texadmissions blog. There’s a post that he does and it has the day of each of the waves for 2024, 2023, 2022, etc. But he also reminds people that some of his best students didn’t get admitted til end of January.
It is hopeful they just had a “wave” the spring 2025 transfers this past week. Their applications were due 9/1 with the “decisions by” date listed as “mid-December”. Some on reddit were pleasantly surprised to get their decisions like 6 weeks earlier than the decision date on the UT website. Never any guarantees but maybe their past practices of early unannounced waves will continue for our kids. Fingers crossed.
Did you all get the “How Longhorns Explore Austin” email that was sent out at 6:30 pm ?
Yes, we did.
Yes!
Yes
Yes
Yes!
Email from UT makes you feel special for a moment, until you find out that you and the entire village got same email
Friend is saying that after they sent SAT (1510 I believe) for EA, when they opened the portal it glitched out and said “My UT Classes.” This was around October 15-20th.
OOS, hasn’t any classes/programs with the UT system. Thoughts?
