I disagree because many submitted early and their applications must have been seen.
It appears they made some EA decisions , could be a very small percentage, we should ask or expect number of EA admits and applications from UT rather soon.

Very bad form, UT. Should have let applicants know before today that they would be unable to meet the 1/15 deadline due to overwhelming number of apps, if that is even the reason. No reason to make everyone continue to believe they’d have a decision today. Very poorly managed by UT.
So are you saying they’re sending out decisions in waves?
no.
My guess is they have set a finite EA percentage and only did the decision for that.
so disappointing and now decision has to be made re: ED2. We thought we would have heard before so we could pull an ED2
but no rejection makes no sense at all
Any math majors OOS accepted?
Can you please share stats?
Any McCombs OOS accepted? (or even in state??)
saw one maybe more in reddit
No, sorry… she hasn’t been able to log in yet. Just wondering if the email terminology might reflect the decision that she is about to see
have a friend in-state accepted to mccombs, and he wasnt auto-admit
Wha? How does that happen?
My daughter got the 2/15 date. We’re so bummed. Waiting 3 months for them to say “one more month” is crazy.
Thought RD deadline was 12/1. They have had 1.5 months to look at them. Most likely they were not prepared for the spike in OOS applications. Not sure why a lot of in-state are deferred.
US citizen OOS (out of country actually), SAT 1510, high school topper(97%), physics research paper published and presented in some conference, started bunch of science clubs in school, teaches math/science as volunteer in GO since past 2 yrs, won 1 national award, 1 international chemistry exam distinction, 3 state ones and Many regional awards in physics competitions, India English spelling bee finalist in 2016. SAT was bit low, we weren’t expecting to be frank given the OOS % increase. He’s still asleep and I saw the result first (4:45am India)
What was the result?
In-state?
Accepted OOS physics major. Sorry I thought I replied to a query from earlier and apparently it came out as a new post
People have said this before, but what’s up with lack of rejections?
