What is "new plural" next to a thread?

Yesterday and today, I’ve been seeing “new plural” next to discussions that have new posts in them. Instead of the usual “2 new” I’m seeing “2 new plural”. But there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason. Sometimes it’s there, sometimes it isn’t and sometimes it’s only on some threads.

Anyone know what this is or what it means?

“Latest Posts” also changes to “Recent Discussions” when the plural thing is happening. Super weird.

Same thing with “Forum Home” and “Categories.”

Yes, I noticed all of those changes yesterday, too.

Of and on today. Reminds me of some of the oddities after the last major upgrade (2 years ago?)

@CCadmin_Sorin - can you tell us what’s going on? Everything works, but labels are changing constantly!

Thanks for reporting! I cannot reproduce it now, so I think it got fixed in the meantime. Please let me know if otherwise.

This was the menu on the left side:
Categories
Recent Discussions
Activity
My Bookmarks
My Discussions
My Drafts

And new posts are listed as “new plural”

Ironically, as soon as I clicked into this discussion the left menu changed back to original:

Edited to Add: When I went back to “My Bookmarks” the new menu reappeared. When I came back here to add this edit, the old menu reappeared.

Yup, also seeing the “new plural” glitch. Also, when trying to review a poster’s past posts, several times when clicking the “more comments” ( or whatever it says) at the bottom right it doesn’t bring up more comments, and occasionally the “more comments” just disappears entirely, and you have to refresh the page to get it to return.

I also got this now. It’s pretty random, but it keeps happening. I’ve asked the tech team to look into it. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks a lot for reporting!

Does anyone know how to edit posts and replies after you have posted them? Also, how to delete posts and replies?

@Serioussweetie - In the upper right of your post (by the number) you can click to edit your post within 15 minutes. After that you cannot edit your post. You are not able to delete a post at all. However, if you go in within 15 minutes you can delete the contents…sometimes you’ll see people’s posts as “deleted” because they replaced the contents with the word “deleted” within the 15 minute window.

I wasn’t seeing “new plural” for a couple of days, but it is back now. I am on an iPhone 6 if that helps.

Unlike inparent, It hasn’t stopped for me. I have noticed it (and the change in labels) the last couple days. It’s become the new “normal”.
