<p>I like the dog avitars. They allow me to continue to imagine what everyone looks like in real life. I want Thumper to always be a bunny, and everyone else to be the way they are in my head… Although I sort of want to be something other than the crazy person my CC name suggests. I am not crazy, I just live on the East coast, where college applications are a bit crazy. </p>

<p>I definitely agree that the avatars give a glimpse of how people are in real…I like it. </p>
<p>And I find it extremely amusing how TONS of people posted picture of their dogs!</p>
<p>But until I see a photo of you, you will always be the bunny in Bambi. Who is one of my favorite characters in animated history, so it is all good. </p>
<p>Just be aware- if someone posts your post to Facebook it also shows your avatar so be smart about what you use. </p>
<p>I hit CTRL + several times and can read the posts now. I’m also missing the red stars big time. I’m trying to give it time to get used to the new format. My immediate reaction is to not like it, but that’s often true for me. I’m a little OCD and like things an exact certain way. Not being able to tell which threads I have posted in or even which ones I’ve read is a bit disconcerting to me. I had a distinct way of checking threads and forums and it’s messed up for now. I’ll adjust eventually. </p>
<p>I did start out bookmarking my usual threads and then got bombarded with emails. I’ve turned that notifcation off now. </p>
<p>Avatars? I have no interest in using them. I do want the user’s name to be prominent- perhaps above the Avatar instead of below it, and larger. They usually just irritate me on most forums. </p>

<p>Oh I just noticed that threads I’m reading and posting on have a pale blue background on the landing page. That helps, much. </p>
<p>So sad - I liked my imagination rather than photos of the people. Not the image I had in my head.</p>
<p>SnLmom and others- thanks for trying to help. On my phone there are no page numbers so I can’t go to the end of a thread without paging through hundreds of pages. The number of new posts matches the total so all threads have been reset as new on my phone. As someone else mentioned, I tried getting rid of the app and using the browser but it takes me to an app version that doesn’t work. Maybe in a few days it will be better. </p>
<p>The last time CC made format changes, they asked for our advice in advance. I feel so ignored!
I love my daily road trip through CC land, but either the white and the small font have got to go…or the peeps will go.

<p>I think my biggest complaint is that it’s hard to immediately see what posts I haven’t read yet. Before, there was a yellow dot next to unread ones. Now it’s just pale blue vs. bolded blue. It’s the most annoying on the “alphabetical list of colleges” part. </p>
<p>My white background isn’t bad, but it’s because this laptop isn’t very bright. And my font size is fine (whatever default it is, seems fine.) My gripe of the moment is all the wasted space.</p>
<p>Yes, the dog pix are adorable, really pretty. But they can be smaller and anyone who wants a look-see can click to expand. I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss gripes as “new” or random wants. Fact is, much about the old format did work for many of us. I just caught up on about 4 pages and it took me much longer than before. (And before i was set to 40pp.)</p>
<p>ps. Now i want to go back to my Replies list, check the next thread. And all I get on the left of this page is Threads- which is old, old threads I started. It would be nice to have Replies there, too.</p>

My two new issues: when I type a few words in the Reply box and change my mind, decide not to comment at all, I delete the words. But every time I come back to the thread, those words are still in the Reply box. What to do?</p>
<p>And, when I go back to a thread where I previously read all the comments that were there on my last visit, I am NOT directed to the next new post. </p>
