While We Were Sleeping - Upgrade

This would not be a high priority item because it doesn’t keep anyone from being able to do what they need to do, but I’ll go ahead and mention it. I realized something I’m finding disconcerting about the layout is that the spaces are not well-defined with either borders or different shading, so everything is just sort of hanging there in space and lacking in a certain comforting structure. It’s like a bed set in the middle of a bedroom instead of up against a wall, something about it leaves you feeling a little ill at ease. Is this something others feel, too?

Deb, I think we’re not all finding the same patterns in what we see or where we get stymied.

I am not seeing any “light blue”. :frowning:

^^Sometimes depends on how long your computer caches. If you aren’t seeing any of the changes from the last day or so, clear out your cache.

What do you think? Should I quit my day job and become a UI guru?

;)

@Deborah T, I feel exactly the same way.

Everytime I log in, I literally feel like I am going blind. The font is killing my eyes on the tablet.

Notrichenough - well… actually your blue screen is too dark for me.:)

All kidding aside I’m 52 and I kind of like the white screen. It’s not bothering my eyes. I do see a light blue in between each post.

I have been trying. I am all for change and upgrades… but I just can’t warm up to this new format/design. It feels cold and is way to hard to “check in”. and there is too much space between lines of text… makes it harder to read…If I am not looking for a specific thing, I don’t bother. I would say that I post way fewer comments… I am sorry to complain… but it is not nice anymore… :(

Lucky you, MichiganGeorgia! ! Even expanding text on ipad just gives me a headache, because pixelation starts looking fuzzy, the bigger it gets. I can only view for short periods at a time.

Counting Down, the android and iPad applications are disabled. I’ll betcha they will let us know, when they are up and running!

OK, had seen some posts indicating that some folks were able to access it. Those must be the iPhone people.

The iPhone people are not using the iPad/iphone application. That is not working.

I tried it again today on my iPhone. I don’t get an error message but I get NO current posts or activity. Just what was there before the shutdown…actually WAYYYY before the shutdown.

I am using Safari on ipad/iphone.
Not the app.
On ipad, I see a darker box surrounding the text reply box. I also see about 1/8th of grey outlining the top bar of each post.
The grey makes it easier to read, but I would even go more.
Id also can the silhouettes on the bottom.
Cheesy. Combined with the animated smilies, unbearably so.

I am using on browser on ipad, not apps.

The background color is defined as a very light gray. I keep my monitor pretty bright though, so it doesn’t look blue at all on my screen.

I am enjoying the compactness of it though.

I have the HCT One which is an Android and it works on my phone.

I’ve noticed that the whiteness is overall less of a problem now that I’ve increased the text size, and it is less of a problem in the daytime when there is a lot of ambient light. The glare makes my eyes very tired and blinky at night.

Another glitch.
I am on an ipad, using the Safari browser.
I should be able to select a word & correct the spelling using the touch screen.
However when I try to do so, the spell correct is overtaken by the copy & paste menu.
Do. Not. Like.

I hate to be a big bundle of complaining, but I figure Im a beta tester & they want to know these things.
I am getting signed out after not being able to connect.( like three times in an hr)
Figure those are server issues & are already being dealt with, but just add mine too.
