No way to tell if you’ve posted in a thread, morris (yes, it’s EXTREMELY frustrating).

To your 2nd question: you don’t. (Same comment as above)

To your 2nd question: you don’t. (Same comment as above)

Thank you. It stinks!

I think I found another glitch… although I have not read recent pages on this thread. Someone was peppering me with private messages even though I didn’t want to talk to them. So I thought I would try the new “ignore” function. I was able to add the user to my “ignore” list. And their notifications and private messages disappeared from those areas of my account. BUT, the little envelope at the top of my screen still shows the number of unread messages I have (all from the now “ignored” user). But I can’t see the messages to delete them… so I took the person off my ignore list, hoping the messages would reappear so I could read them and get rid of the “count”, but they still don’t show up in my messages. I tried logging out and in, but the number is still hanging over my envelope and I still can’t see that user’s messages.

Which brings up another annoyance. Why do I get TWO counts (one for the message and one notification) when I get a private message? I have to click into the notifications to make that number go away (even if I read the message). Too many extra keystrokes…

WHERE are the settings? I want to invert my colors but can’t find the settings mentioned above…

You have to go into your ipad’s settings. Not CC settings.

I listed the directions above. Try it out!

@morrismm - it used to be that when you replied in a thread you were automatically subscribed to it. Now, you you are not.

So you have to remember to “bookmark” the thread by clicking on the star (or on “bookmark”) which appears under the thread title at the top of the page.

Then in the list of threads, the ones you’ve bookmarked have the star filled in in yellow.

I do not always want to bookmark everything I have read. Why? Because I subscribe to email notifications. Now I get dozens of emails. Before, I could get emails only for specific threads.

Geez, is ANYONE going to fix the issue that you cannot even find the Reply box at the bottom of the page because it is all white - no border. It took me a long time trying to hover around with a cursor trying to figure out how to reply.

@coralbrook - On my computer the replay box is surrounded by a medium grey one pixel border, with a light grey frame around that.

What browser are you using?

I don’t have the grey at all on Firefox and it is hard to find the box. At work on IE I don’t have a problem.

I’m using Firefox and i can see the gray shading around the reply box. But yes, these content management systems often give different user experiences based on browser. Generally there is a “recommended” browser, perhaps one of the tech crew could give us the optimal browser and version. Also some don’t function well at all in old browsers.

I use Firefox and can see the gray.

I took a look at the styles on the gray around the reply box. Rather than a gray color, they are using a black color with the transparency set to almost zero, which has the effect of making it a very light gray. Interesting.

If you are not seeing the grey on your monitor, you probably have the monitor’s brightness cranked up really high. This has the effect of washing out light colors like the really light gray being used.

Try adjusting your monitor’s brightness setting to about the halfway point, and then play with the contrast. You should be able to find settings that are adequately bright but allow you to see all the colors including the the gray around the reply box.

If anyone is using my Firefox hack and wants an adjustment to make it more gray, let me know. It’s an easy change.

Great. I fixed it. Thanks.

I have a light grey box also (firefox). I didn’t when the new upgrade first came out and couldn’t figure out where to reply, but now I can see it.

I’m on good on Internet Explorer and I guess I need to adjust the brightness or something. Still don’t see any borders.

sorry “good ole Internet Explorer”

Swimcatsmom, I think they added the graybox…I didn’t notice it on day 1 and a couple days later I noticed it. Coralbrook, make sure you are running IE8 or higher. IE7 doesn’t work very well these days.

I’m on Google Chrome and have no problem seeing the reply box.

My issue was with my monitor. It was on some weird setting and now that it’s adjusted I can see all sorts of things! :)

I just discovered you can’t edit an initial post/new thread. I started one on "life’s little pleasures (I got my first peaches of the season and a call from my DS today-- both put smiles on my face) – anyway I digress. I made my standard typos and tried to go back to edit-- to no avail :(
