Ohio State Class of 2026 Admission

Reallllly hoping but was told March .

I hope those who did not receive their decision and, coincidentally, all got deferred will get their final decision on 2/18. Thoughts on this?

I would sincerely hope these kids would not have to spend a 3rd date refreshing portals only to have to wait until March! But I wouldn’t doubt it.

I also am patiently awaiting my daughter’s deferred decision. It still says 2/18 on their website, but if you do the Buckeye bot, it says end of March for a decision. Maybe that’s just a generic answer, but I’m not getting my hopes up for Friday.

We are in the same boat as you–I’m sure my son will be checking on 2/18 but after getting no response on the 2 EA dates and then the group deferral, my hopes are pretty low. Thankfully he agreed to go check out a school he was admitted to the first weekend we didn’t hear from OSU. EA makes you think you’ll have an answer “earlier” but it does not seem to be going in that direction

I think I’m more anxious than my daughter. She’s discouraged, but seems to be handling it better than me :grinning:

Hi guys, is there anyone that can send me a link to where it says that February 18th is a potential notification date for deferred students? I’ve never seen that.

Thank you!

My daughter accepted in December, honors invite a few days later, and received USPS mail today with Provost and National Buckeye scholarship

Congrats! Hoping something will come in the mail here in a few days

Apparently, the NPC merit aid information is pretty accurate and they send the letters out to mid-March. So if you’re anxious, you can enter the info into the NPC calculator to get a sense of what to expect.

Same for my daughter. OOS. Acceptance and Honors in December. Received merit awards by USPS yesterday (we are in California). Buckeye was $13.5k and Provost was $2k.

For those who were deferred like my DD, I confirmed with our regional AO that ALL deferred applicants will get a decision in March. He said the Feb date is only for Regular Decision applicants.

Same for my daughter. We are in state, found out she was admitted in December, and are just hoping and praying for some merit scholarships to come soon.

I’m glad you checked, thank you, but that is so weird.
