Based on this thread and my experience, if your “Awaiting Decision” is blank and no counselor, etc, and your campus tours page also blank they are likely updating the database on the backend. It happened to me yesterday and then within a couple hours it all appeared as normal again, with only addition of “Big Orange Preview” under events. But that is an open house for admitted and prospective students so I don’t read into it as meaning anything for my daughter’s acceptance. Just check back in a couple hours and your portal likely will return to normal.

It is possible they still are updating portals since we haven’t received decisions yet!!!

I think a blank portal is just indicative of a decision being in the system. It’s possible portals with no changes are waitlisted, and the blank ones are an accept/reject, but if the release is truly tonight, they still have time to upload decisions into the system.

I feel it could be this because if you are accepted or denied there in no need for your slateid, AO, etc

If you’re accepted there could still be a need to get in contact with your AO. I honestly just think it’s faulty tech on UTK’s end. Whatever the case may be, it’s likely we’ll have decisions within the next 10 hours.

Many schools have wiped the portals of these details and we’ve gotten in every one so far

Informed Delivery is not always accurate
I got an email tracking from State Dept about 2 packages today (PASSPORTS FOR M<Y KIDS NOT UTK )
I checked USPS and it was in delivery for today but informed delivery had no mention of the packages. I had to manually add them to tracker

Thank you to everyone here for making me not feel alone in this process! I just checked my USPS Informed Delivery and we have a package that is awaiting shipment label coming from Lobelville TN. Is this a “good sign”?

For EA they announced that decisions would be released the day of at around 5 p.m. est. Right before the admissions office closes.

if you don’t see anything in informed delivery, don’t get too discouraged. i was accepted EA and nothing was showing up for me either.
