Similar stats to my waitlisted child last year
I am so sorry! It truly is insane to see the stats change over night - went from like 70% admit rate to what, 20/30%? It makes it so hard to plan- take care.

I think this year, itâs anyoneâs guess on how fast the waitlist will move. Between number of applications and the fafsa delay⊠it could really swing either way. Good luck.
Is pathway program better than waitlist?

What exactly does it say? Pathway or is it waitlist and a pathway?

Just want to add that my oldest is a junior at her #1 school. She loves it there but has told me, âMom, I love it, but I realize that I wouldâve been happy no matter where I wound up.â

I cannot think so, no. Waitlist means you still have a shot at admit without going anywhere else

My kid
was waitlisted at her dream school ( Clemson) and got off the wialtist March 19 a few years back. My good friend OOS was waitlisted from UTK

Was told last year that there is no preference given - to get off the waitlist- to those who sign up for the pathway plan and those who donât sign up

After May 1. We already had a deposit down in another school

So did anyone get pathway or waitlisted after cancelling tour? When we received email abt tour, it had 2nd choice, but she ended up with pathway. But, earlier today she committed to University of Miami and withdrew from all but UTK(wanted to see outcome).
Go to the school that loves you back- I think UTK admissions totally dropped the ball throughout this whole process.
I feel terrible for these kids waiting for a decisionâ you all can do better

Congrats to your child on being an excellent student. Have him/her reach out to the counselor. One advantage I believe is that you are OOS. At the end of the day UTK is a business and wants that OOS $$$.

Pathways is a guarantee to get there just get a 3.0. Waitlist you may die on the vine waiting.

With those stats I would expect admission and merit. It is a good example how unpredictable oos admissions can be. UF honors and FSU amazing!
