concur, accepted off waitlist for Haslam. such a rollercoster of emotions this past year… thankful to have a handful of opportunities…especailly as an OOS / T.O. student… short list is MSU Broad/ I.U. Pre-Business / UTK-Haslam /
Ariz.State: Supply Chain / UT Austin for Liberal Arts (Econ/: can’t find a way to yes) and the most likely winner: Penn State University Park for DUS… with a mando Summer LEAP start…complete Entry to Major with 3.0/3.2 GPA… wish everyone well with there decisions!

I am curious if people think UTK Will have much movement after May 15? Or do you think the most is done. I know the deadline is moved back to May 15 I just did not know if anyone has heard how much progress they have made?
WE ARE too… DS24 can’t wait… nice to get the nod from UTK Haslam, and probably would have taken it if PSU showed 2+2… so so so happy to have this painful year behind us… who did PSU win out over?
Just got off the waitlist (OOS/Pre-Law) and see I have until May 15 to decide. Is it possible to be given scholarships as an OOS student who was accepted from the waitlist?
DS accepted off waitlist, but without merit. We don’t see a way to turn the offer down in the portal though -?
Under “Resources” tab there should be a way to decline. So if merit wasn’t mentioned in letter does that mean you wont receive any scholarships?
Only way to know for sure is to reach out to the AO or their general information email. I would THINK that if you met the criteria for their GPA and SAT/ACT thresholds for the various scholarships it would be awarded the same as any other acceptance.

Our merit was in the same email that said he was accepted off the waitlist.
Got an email today (DS got off the waitlist but turned the offer down). Email reads:
although the confirmation deadline has passed, we will continue to accept confirmations until the Fall 2024 class is filled.
After pushing most everyone we knew from EA to deferred to waitlist, UTK is yet to fill their class. I wonder how many of those not-good-enough-in-EA students would have accepted if they hadn’t found love elsewhere?

Same thing happening at South Carolina. Both schools seriously messed up and are now scrambling to fill seats.

Got email that we are off waitlist with a scholarship last week. Got another email yesterday that they are extending the deadline to commit until the class is filled! Sounds like a major mess up!
The schools were in a tough position. What were they supposed to do? Reject kids with better qualifications b/c they thought they would end up at another college?
