He just texted me from the hockey game with a screen shot that says āCongratulationsā so heās in! But no other info from him. I told him enjoy the game and we can peruse the portal later.

Previously SRARS issue, admitted Business! OOS 1340 SAT not sure what the GPA was. 9 APs/DEā¦4 yr varsity sport & national travel team

While I think this is great , so congrats ! But , is it not odd that many of the original folks with issues all just got jn ? This is leaving quite the bad taste in my mouth

You had a SRAR issue yesterday or a regular defer ? This is crazy how this is playing out .
I have no horse in this race but I have to agree. This is all incredibly bizarre from an outside perspectiveā¦.

Right ? Iām very happy for the students who got in , however Iām finding it all very strange that everyone is now getting in who were affected ? We got deferred without issue and it appears we are staying that way.
While perhaps explainable, itās a bit of a debacle and a bad look for UTK at the momentā¦.im not sure what confidence level Iād have in their processes as an applying student next year.
I donāt think they just blind accepted them. A lot received scholarships as well and there is a select community on this page.

We are high stats and attended two private events that we were invited to . ( not large 100 people events) . This is odd and very off putting .
For those lucky students who got accepted today after the SRAR issue, did any have the request for 7th Semester grades on their portal before yesterday???
No request at any time.

When you say select community can you elaborate ? Just curious if Iām missing something here . So we are to believe that they went through all the affected applications in less than 24 hours ? Iām curious to see if any affected students yesterday with the mess, did NOT get in tonight . Again , so happy for those kids who within a day hopefully got their dream emails !
Some SRAR-affected people were deferred today, so they didnāt blindly admit.

Seems they are likely using AI and have an hard cut off and not looking at strength of school etcā¦looks like min 1300 SAT 28/29 ACT and above 4.1 UT core GPA

Ha- he is just watching the varsity team since his friends play . 3.96/30 ACT not sure what else they looked at but varsity football, lots of volunteer stuff, job, etc., etc. Great recommendations and essay as well.
