This is what makes me wonder if this means anything. Everyone is getting the email with the major. No one is unable to get that email (except for someone who declined which means their email is not in the UTK system anymore).

Is the merit only for âtuitionâ purposes not for anything else (I.e. books, housingâŠ)?
D will have GI Bill and we are also oos and I called UTK Veterans office yesterday asking if she would still receive merit with the GI Bill and he stated as long as the merit is not tuition based.
I feel like it has to mean something since some people have their first choice listed, others have their second choice, and some have absolutely nothing.

My sonâs friend, who applied regular decision, was not able to get an email with his major reflected in it.

was he not able to register? or was he able to register but email came back with major blank?
Yesterday my daughters confirmation was blank, no major listed. I just tried it again and her 1st major is listed following Haslam College of Business. Not sure if applicant majors are being entered as the applications are being re-reviewed from deferred EA decisions, or if this is a good sign. Since someone posted saying that the second major they applied for was on the return confirmation so I feel like this must mean something positive.?.

Not to throw another wrench into this. But, daughter had admitted major in the portal. Now she doesnât. She tried the hack and the email came back with her correct admitted major from her application. Guess we will seeâŠ

His friend - who applied RD - was able to register, received the same email as everyone else, but his major was blank.
We need to find somebody who has yet to receive a decision but cannot sign up for Admitted Students Tour? They obviously would not know they are denied but logically based on the pattern Them not able to signup for the Admitted Student tour indicates they are going to get a denial. (Sorry if that sounds harsh)
Yeah, this doesnât seem to exist, on this page anyway. The blanks from yesterday are filled in today so who knows.
Interesting so initially, I was thinking the same way you are. But then I called, and I spoke with someone in the admissions office, who said that those scholarships were only for returning students not for first year students. This was in direct opposition to what I was told on another occasion.

Major gone from portal here too. Admitted Day email came in with major and college. FWIW
My daughter tried the admitted tour hack and had an admitted major. It is her second choice major (first choice was nursing). Portal no longer lists a major.

My daughterâs admitted major is not on her portal. I donât want to try the admitted day hack because it goes to her email. So I guess itâs just wait and see.

Has anyone heard when the deferred and RD decisions will truly be announced ?
Someone said possibly next Tuesday. I donât think anyone knows for certain though.

When you sign up if you also put in parents email they get an email too but if you do not want to worry your kid with an unexpected email (I got shouted at by my daughter for worrying so much about her admission and trying the hack 
) then it makes sense holding off especially if this is not really what that email means
